Victims of wisdom

The very bend ahead the road
Is as uncertain as the moment ahead.
What is in store isn’t actually in store;
Victims of wisdom we humans are.

The things one feels like doing today,
Felt like doing all the days spent
Haven’t ever been a bit different.
Sorry, we never put ourselves away.

When the way ahead bends for good
When the next moment fails to do
We all take to our shells of wisdom
Just to feed ourselves with falsehood.

It’s all but a circular navigation of yore
Replete with the very; ‘what’s in store”
