Victoria Poem by Catherine Agunat

Victoria

Dear Victoria, I remember once again
How courageous you are in dealing life's problem
'Twas summertime of the year
When a stranger in your life, has came
He looked like quiet nice and pretty tame
Appeared as a man from prestigious name
He proposed to you then you easily fell inlove with him
But after your heart and trust, he gained
His real colour revealed and his attitude has changed
Without his conscience, he harmed you and put to shame
Then quikly vanished with his paramour
while you are in pain
But dear Victoria, instead that you whimper and whine
With courageous act, you stand up
and swiftly seek the aid of the Divine
By His grace terrible crutches of self pity
and self contempt you overcame
With full of hope, you started a new life sincere and calm
You've ran the race with bravery, with perseverance
Through your humbleness, people called you blessed
In God surprise, restoration of your life
with success is your prize
Victoria, how gallant you are!
