Victory Was Fought For Poem by Sinclair Azubuike Farrell

Victory Was Fought For

The hardest battles were fought

when the war's end

was nowhere in sight

defeat was always imminent

within a short distance

failure was too close

for comfort

yet never an option

to be seriously considered

While the quest for victory

was uncertain

battles were lost & won

but at long last

when the last enemy within

was defeated

victory was found

and the war was finally won.
