Viewed From Afar Poem by David Floren

Viewed From Afar

Rating: 5.0

I viewed you from afar,
through mists that barred my view
of where we might have kissed,

In plain view of yearning.

I missed you from afar,
Through the care-worn viewpoint
Of heart's kindling,

In plain view of burning.

I missed out on missing you.
To have you missing me
Would be divine, if blue.

In plain view, it's true:
I'm spurning you.
It's not what I want to do.

I missed out on missing you
Through a dry-toast heart
Afraid to make butter

In plain view of churning.

A dry-toast heart
Grows stale in plain view
Of not learning to act.

Learn to act
On yearning,
In plain view

Viewing mist from far amazes mind entirely. With plain burning of view of mind missing love is so sad. A dry heart still grows to acquire love and peace. This is brilliantly drafted poem.10
