Village Headmaster Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Village Headmaster

I am the village headmaster who wants your love;
But, from the wars around me came the dead bodies!
And today, i have to bury them in the same tomb.

Womb, comb, bomb, tomb! !
With the unfaithful works of the darkness;
Like a debauchery!
But, the truth about life is around us always.

'Come what may'!
I am the village headmaster who wants your love;
But, do not drink wine which is in excess,
For, there are wolves outside waiting to devour you.

Life and lust!
Th politicians are not ready to help us;
So, walk circumspectly and come to me!
For, i am ready to share my sweet love with you.
