Villain Poem by Weldon Davis

Villain

When the only love you've ever known
Is neglect
You dare not for a second be positive
For the shear fear of being hopeful
Is foolish

Your mind shuts like a trap door
You have the ways of the world
Figured out
To a science

Chaos is beauty and you revel in it
It feeds you at the table of selfishness
With a morsel of jealousy
And-
With that you are filled

When somewhere deep down
In your heart of hearts
Tells you the right way
Will never work
A villain is born
