Visions Poem by Ernestine Northover

Visions

Rating: 5.0

Sweet slumber, you're slowly falling,
One sub-conscious sinks in sleep,
And dreams they are now calling,
From all angles they do creep.

Some memories are for trawling,
And powerful feelings leap,
With visions so enthralling,
Thus causing the soul to weep.

But there can be no stalling,
The mind is thinking deep,
Then it awakens, overhauling,
Such fragile sanity, to keep.

Yes, i get this Ernestine, know one thing for sure, you are not alone, many including myself know well of this state of mind, but we shall rise above and move on in the knowing that life shall go on and that there is much beauty and love all around Love duncan XXX

Dreaming is our alter-world in life...though it may be, at best, premonitionous....its presentations can have impact on our awakened lives...But only if we so allow. A solid penning, my dear... Frank

Sometimes it is very difficult to get a good nights sleep, the mind wanders. Excellent piece Ernestine.--Melvina--

Harsh reality, this sort of dreaming, as most of us can relate to that sad awakening... A wonderful compact write, dear friend, with lots of impact. Esther
