Should I ask you
Or should I not
For yet do I love Emma
As much as I love Vivian too
‘Tis a time to let the spirits sing
Than to let my Vivian dance alone
On the platform of muted instruments
You both share an equal percentage
Of this my lonely heart
Yet to burst into bloody tears
I love you Vivian
But when will Emma complain my love in her?
My heart is big enough to own yours
When I see you saunter,
I see a potential bride at will
What a question to ask
Than to be retorted
But should I ask
Or should I not
For yet do I know Vivian
As much as I know Emma

I studied Wole Soyinka during my school days in Nigeria as it was a part of our school course. He was a strong supporter of polygamy. It is probably a way of life that people need to get used to; but is it possible for a woman to share her man with another woman and live peacefully? I doubt it.
