Wait For Your Cake Poem by Suzanna C Chevalier

Wait For Your Cake

When you are forced to wait,
you get not only your frosting but your cake.
Now, I hear you say “Should I take your bait?
I’m Prince Charming—I’m not waiting for your cake.”
I say, “Tough luck, you schmuck,
Go find another girl who doesn’t give a ________.”
Then you’ll be back to me, begging me on your knees.
“Oh, Baby, please, baby please... I now see...”
I say, “Prove it, are you man enough for me? ”
The man who will set me free?
