Waiting Poem by Jamie Walker

Waiting

{Foreword: I've got strep throat and have been sleeping the days away, sorry I havent written anything for a while :) -xoxo}

I wait for summer,
I wait for family,
I waited for light to shine,
But mostly I waited for you,

I let myself down,
Thinking I could make myself better,
But apparently I made myself worse,
But I except that

And so the sun never shines for me,
Shadow's have become my friends
And the rainbow has left me
In the gloom,

But that's where I'm myself,
In this eternal night I can breath,
And step away from all the drama,
And all our problems,

Slowly drifting away....
