Waiting Poem by Roxie Young

Waiting

I had a dream that you were here with me
Instead of all the way across the sea
Where are you when i need you most
Is out love just a passing ghost

Look at the photo of you and me
In your eyes it's what i see
A spark that's between us both
Sill here when you left me alone

I'll be waiting for you to come home to me
I'm not afraid that you will leave again

In the evening when the sun sets red
And a drink is running to my head
I think of the time you've gone
Why did it have to be so long

My strength is knowing that you'll return
It'll take away the burn
Our love that will never end
And my missing heart will mend

I'll be waiting for you to come home to me
i'm not afraid that you will leave again
