Waiting
lingering words fill the crowd
their faces showing no emotion
blank stares
lost in a mind of thought
i'd given up
forgotten
i onced loved
the butterflies fluttering in me
had this day come?
i waited days and nights
hoping you will call
but you always left me in the night's cold air
dreading and hoping for the day to come
while i listen to my mind
my heart is fighting for attention
