Waiting Poem by Alicia Gomez

Waiting

Rating: 5.0

Chills runs through me everytime
you say my name
Fear, everytime you speak, it flows
through my vains

Afraid of what could happen between
these seconds
Terrified of the tiny things that could
ruin a connection

The words that dance across your lips
are much too meaningless to bare
Wishful to know if you do mean what
you speak and if you really care

The heart within me cries and tries to
not get torn to pieces
Because all the things you've put me
through babe, you got me speachless

I can only imagine the thoughts in your
head
Weaving that oh so confusing web

Leaving me senseless
Astonished and breathless

Walking toward me about to call
my name
Than freeze and stutter than turn
away

What the hell are you waiting for
Theres only so long that i leave you
this open door

Make your mind up
Your hearts the one to trust

But dont leave me waiting
sitting, anticipating

Because babe i'll move on
and find a new song to be
sung

And although my heart skips
a beat everytime you come to
me and speak

I'll make it slow down
i'll stop the chemistry from
goin round

And even though it will kill
me with every move
Its a lot less painful than waiting
my whole life for you

But i know no matter how hard
I try
Something inside me will still
wonder why

You left me to wait
Like i had nothing better to
do
When in reality i gave up everything
for you
