Waiting For Adriel Poem by A. G. Bawang

Waiting For Adriel

the green sterile room
violently opens
with the masked posse
shoving, kicking, swearing
blood pumps to the decibels
then grinds to a halt
until only the steady murmur
of the ceiling fan is heard

i sit and stare straight
at my cold and silent friend
