Waiting For The Light Poem by Tear Of An Angel S.R.B.W.

Waiting For The Light

Florescent hope dimmed by life’s chaos

Darkness intervenes with the kiss of morning light

Instead of joy there’s only night

Deception of winds blow erratically

Just to make you loose your way

Tossed about with emotions of your past

Coming and going here and there

Icy cold rain trickles down about you

You look for shelter

Only to find and ocean of tears

Waves rolling on top of you

As the salt stings your skin

As the force of nature grabs hold and pulls you in

Clouds get darker as you search for help

Wishing to drown wanting to swim

You sit in stillness

Waiting for the light

Clouds turn to coal as fire falls from the sky

The pain of the rain so unkind

I stay afloat in my pain

Stung by fire tormented by tears

Waiting for the light
