Waiting For You

Rating: 5.0

I here the ticking,
The ticking of the clock,
Stuck on this starchy bed,
Staring at the ceiling,
Wondering, dreaming,
Of the one I wait for,
A song played over and over,
The love I wanted,
We were against the world,
Just you and me,
Holding hands,
But there were no more messages,
I will not hear your voice again,
Gone forever,

Stuck here on this highway,
I thought I was over,
Over you,
But my questions are still yet to be answered,
My hands are clammy and damp,
Waiting for the ones that fit them so perfectly,
In the core of my mind,
I think only of you,
Going through the days,
Not sure I’ll get by,
I’m still waiting for you,
Although my life with soon end,
As I lay in this depressing hospital,
Maybe you didn’t hear of the accident,
Or maybe you just don’t care.
