Wake Up Poem by Kovan White

Wake Up

Rating: 5.0

I've seen to many kids brought in this world with no reasoning
Males and females with lost guides laying down without thinking
About the ramifications they've imposed on themselves through lust
Doing all the Devil's deeds... but in God we truth?
How can we hunger for the knowledge of God?
When we hunger for lust
All night clubbing and hoe hopping, thinking your life is a thrill
Playing with fire and living on the edge can soon get you killed
It's all over books and magazines and TV
With everything you read you see that it's bad and somewhat sad
But you try to hold on to what is true hold on to you
But you don't know because your mind is deluded
By society and how things are going
You think you're doing things the right way
When it's really the wrong way
How can I do the right thing and remain an outsider
I'm an individual in the game of righteousness
