Walk Into The Fire Poem by Rik Bertrand

Walk Into The Fire

Since the beginning man has had its faults,
And now it has led to humanities last waltz;
Warnings have been issued through centuries past,
With no heed taken, our end has come oh so fast.

Walk into the fire; hold your head high, there is no retreat
We have lost all the battles, we must all accept defeat.
Time has warped the perception of reality and the fire roars,
And human kind pays the price for all their senseless wars.

There is no bias; we will all pay the ultimate price,
We should be so lucky that we do not have to pay it twice.
Our humanly bodies will burn to ash, and our souls will be collected.
For our immortal essence as we all know, is God Protected.

With this be known, walk into the fire and pay the price of shame,
We are all part of this world we created; we must all take the blame.
Cry not, for those that truly believe will be reunited for a new beginning,
And you shall know the true meaning of a live that is never ending.
