Walking Alone
Walking alone
Down a never-ending road
No place to be
And wanted by no one
Walking alone
On a frost-paved path
Slipping, sliding, falling
Breaking apart with each step I take
Walking alone
Into the infinite darkness
Stumbling over every obstacle
Life throws at me
Walking alone
Following a fading light
Not sure where it is taking me
And not sure if I care
Walking alone
Reaching out to a hand that's not there
Grasping nothing but a tainted fog
That makes my mind go haywire
Walking alone
Trying to hold onto the memory
The memory of us
And what we used to have

................
very well written. i feel that way most of the time. keep writting
A nice poem Emily, No one wants to walk alone, but sometimes we have to
just to sort our feeling out. Thanks.
Great work. Excellent title. Thank you
No-one and nothing and the only thing that wont leave you alone is the point that you're alone.
Btw there are 24 lines in this and 12 letters in 'walking alone' which i find a little poetic hint to that the person in the poem (who i assume to be you) is not as alone as they may think; theres still another half walking too as it were.
Yes indeed. Marvelous write.
