Wally-World Dt's Poem by Teresa Dearing

Wally-World Dt's

Rating: 5.0

We moved into a new town,
Neat and clean as can be,
A water tower way up high,
And streets all lined with tree.

The people nice and friendly,
No matter where you go,
But Lord, I miss Wally World,
Silly of me~ I know.

That person smilling at the door,
Hired from the half way house,
I nod to, but keep walking,
Quick, like a small mouse.

You know that never happens,
It's always packed you see,
All sizes, shapes, and races,
Very interesting to me.

There's a lady in pink curlers,
A plus size ninty- three,
She's stuck on a motor cart,
Battery's dead, you see.

As I round the corner,
A nice sale rack I spy,
Last season's rags half price,
But none that catch my eye.

Two ladies speaking Spanish,
With kids, count twenty three,
They love to shop and visit here,
The goods are cheap, you see.

The red neck in the sports isle,
Big chains and gator boots,
Has a little honey with him,
Blond~ with long black roots.

Huddled in a corner,
There is a group of teens,
Green hair, nails of black,
Early Halloween?

Moving to the garden shop,
An old man runs over me,
A fussing and muttering,
Like it's my fault you can see.

That's it, I've had my fill,
Now it's out the door for me,
Ah...if only it were that simple,
The line's forever~ see.

Wheeling out my now full cart,
I get almost to the door,
Smillie wants to check my bags,
I could just fall thru the floor.

Finally in the parking lot,
Now, where did I park the car?
Wow, another dent in my door,
That makes four this month, so far.

Now you see why I miss Wally-World,
That mega mania store,
I swear that treat is worth the drive,
Could ya ask for anything more? ? ?
