I want to be loved
Caressed, kissed and hugged

I want to feel safe and secure
I want a love thats genuine and pure

Then... there is a part of me
That just wants to turn away and hide
This is because I was broken beyond repair
And I know what I've turned into on the inside

Someone who is bitter, hurt and helpless
Someone who could never care for you...

Even though I really want to

I want to love you
Please believe that

But my heart is broken
And needs time to mend
So it holds me back
To protect what left within
