War Poem by Donna Hendra

War

Rating: 5.0

Looking at the suture
I wonder of the future
Will peace arrive
Or will War suffice
As Fear envelopes me
I allow my Soul to be,
I allow seperation
Maybe the next Generation
Will fix the Problems past
Our poignancy Unforgotten.

My soul surveys the field
Horrific injurys & Gas attacks
Friends in Pain
Crying where my body's lain

I survey the scene
Remembering what has been
I wonder

- imperialism
- nationalism
- militarism

Traits to kill the world
Traits to kill my girl

- Compassion
- Compromise
- Peace

Traits that have ceased
May the next Generation
Avoid international seperation
No foes
Just Friends
Positive Carpe Diem.
