War Poem by Cathy Zhang

War

The battle that's never won
The forever-lasting winter.
The hurricane of destruction
Covers and destroys many.
Storming up deceit and lies
Killing God's hope of humanity.
Droughts of love and care.
Hate takes over everything.

But clouds covering the sun will
Soon disappear to reveal
A beautiful rainbow with feeling.
All's well ends well is what they say.
But for now, for mankind, Winter is still here.
Reaping sorrow and death and doom
