War Poem by James Casey

War

Rating: 5.0

WAR

With crystalline drops I bathed their wounds
And said a silent plea
That they would release this painful world
And sleep so peacefully
So many have died before their hair could turn to silver.
And have left me here alone
With thoughts of all the boys who came with me
And the many that are gone

May God bless them all
