War (Haiku) Poem by Eric Cockrell

War (Haiku)

old men flogging their
meat, young men dying worthless,
nameless, feed the greed!

too many hungry
mouths, too little, spread too thin,
expendable ghosts.

patriotism,
cutting down trees, bloody saws,
children stacked, firewood!

bombs falling, women
and children, fill up the ditch,
covered by hatred...
