War Is On

Rating: 0.5

Believe or not a war is on
Greater than ever known
Fighting, fighting till Love has won
And Christ’s on every throne

Yet here we sit twiddling thumbs
While devils laugh and gloat
Until they rise until they come
To slit each silent throat

Make no mistake! The bible’s true
God’s word will surely stand
They’ll slaughter Christian slaughter Jew
And seek to rule the land

They’re here and there, on streets, at work
Neighbours yet meek and mild
Subtly slyly like beasts they lurk
Watching us reconciled

Today next week next month next year
One day we’ll surely see
Outrageous horrors will occur
On those The Lamb set free

From east to west and north to south
With sword they’ll surely rise
The dragon awaits with open mouth
To pick us off like flies

But He who’s great righteous and just
Will come will speak and kill
Turning His enemies into dust
Till all is peaceful still

Believe or not! These things will be
God’s Christ will vanquish shame
So if by grace you’ve eyes to see
Call now! On Jesus’ name
