Warfare Of Sisters Poem by Rachel Flint

Warfare Of Sisters

The battle
has been raging
for decades

There has been
numerous truces
each one of them broken

There are only
two soldiers
Both armies
of one

They throw insults
like grenades
and dig up
old injustices
that have been raked over
again and again

They dont particularly care
who's caught in the cross fire
This war has been going on
since the cradle

And will probably continue
to the grave
Such is the loving warfare
of sisters

'Loving warfare'... Interesting contrast in terms and a great poem, Rachel. Well done! !
