Warmth Poem by Tiffany Rose Moczydlowski

Warmth

Rating: 2.5

Slip in hard snow and sludge.
Cruel ice tears your shoes.
White traps your sight.
Grip case tight.
Trudge on.
Fierce

Stand and wait for hours.
Tears on your cheeks.
No one comes.
You leave.
Proud

Harsh thought steals faith.
Not your sound.
Shrill wails.
Dazed

Cold wind claws you.
Ghosts chase you.
Hands numb.
Lost

You raise speed.
Blind heart.
Scared

Ghosts help.
Safe

Warm.
