Warpaint And Camouflage Poem by Justin Gildow

Warpaint And Camouflage

It's time to venture through
the jungle of death, my dear
Hopefully, you won't be
feeling scared or full of fear
I know I'm calming my nerves
the best way I can
They best way I know how

War and battle is a short time
away, love
So let's say a prayer to the
angels above
Let's throw on our battle gear
And smear on warpaint and
camouflage

Wearing my camouflage
I'm hoping to blend into
the jungle
Wearing your warpaint
You certainly look ethereal
Looking proud and independent

Strap on your battle gear
Grab your weapons
It's going to be a long night
In the jungle tonight
