Was That Your Song? Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Was That Your Song?

Was That Your Song?

Was that your song
Of all the things that went wrong
In your life so long
Where you thought didn't belong?

I beg to defer
That you were given enough
That life had to offer you
A plethora of things.

Was that your song now
That you were merrily happy?
Life had given you so much.
You were cheery as such.

Was that your song now?
That you understood what life was.
It was sad and happy too
But it was mostly happy.
