Wash It Away Poem by Melanie Weeks

Wash It Away

Standing on the porch alone in the rain,
I wanna dance.
I'm gonna after the month I've had.
I'm just gonna let the rain
Just wash it away.
Wash it away

Now I'm dancing on the porch alone.
Having my fun in the rain.
Wash it away.
Wash away the pain from yesterday.

I'm standing here in this storm
Letting the rain wash it away.
I tilt my head up to the clouds,
Singing the song way out loud.

Standing in the puddle on this pourch,
My cargo jeans legs wet up to my calves.
I'm thinking about just letting it all go.
I'm just gonna let the rain
Wash it away
