Wasteland Of A Heart Poem by Jade Hymora

Wasteland Of A Heart

Here you see the wasteland of my heart
It’s barren stark and lonely as a desert
It was once so full of life and emotion
Now it’s gone and never coming back

Love and light that illuminated my heart
Have turned to lonely darkness and despair
There’s no amount of tender love that can
Bring this wasteland I call a heart back to life

To many times it’s been broken
Too many times it’s been pieced back together
But now there’s nothing that can fix this
For it’s already dead and in the ground
