Watched By None Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I shall mourn the death
Till last breathe
About a beautiful bird
That provided me place and good words

She had original voice
That was full of promises
Sung for peace and harmony
Her replacement was unlikely

I never thought of her early demise
She had made us all wise
Each morning brought warning signal
Beware gentleman poet “perform or perish”

Now nothing more shall be heard
There is only looking backward
There is no one to hear your beautiful melody
And who were there have left already

I shall regret the deadly phase
That has snatched the smile from face
Early morning was to be really cheerful
Now there is deadly silence with scene awful

The garden wears deserted look
Some poets post here and there
And whoever have posted watch it with pain
There is absolutely dark and this has been watched by none
