Watching Me Fall Poem by Allyson Gordon

Watching Me Fall

Won’t you save me?
Can’t you see I’m in pain?
Can you light the darkness?
Can you show me the way?

Why won’t you look at me?
Why won’t you speak?
Is it because you don’t care?
Or because you’re too scared?

Can’t you see I’m dying here?
I’m constantly fighting death
How can you watch me fall?
My heart’s being ripped apart

Can you hear my screams?
I’m crying out in pain
Doesn’t it hurt you to know?
At any moment I could let go
