Waterless Holi



Water my pink bougainvillea,
Fill again my swimming pool,
But waste you not a scarce bucket
Your Holi water's for the poor.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This four liner has been inspired by a call given by some wealthy hypocrites to celebrate Holi, the Indian festival of colors, without wasting any water which is 'running out' This year, the festival is on 27 March.
