Watery Poem by Heart of Ice Die Die Die

Watery

Feeling the seaweed
wrap it's arms around my ankles,
dragging me down
farther and farther.
The image is blurring,
fading into one.
It's just all gray.
Those arms wrapped around me
pulling me under
giving me my release
and my doom.
Holding my new home
in their beautiful roots.
I would grow up
to feed them
in the watery world.
I would decompose
and feed this underwater temple.
I'm just watching
those little golden bubbles
of precious, precious air
float right out of my mouth
and back up to the sky.
Counting how many bubbles it takes
to take me all the way down.
Baby bird,
take these little bubbles
and grow up.
Baby bird,
you're growing up,
and learnign to fly.
Take these bits of
food from my plate
and be strong.
Baby bird,
you've grown up
and have a baby
all your own.
Here baby bird,
take these locks
and line your nest
and raise your baby.
I'm going to go to sleep,
for a very long time.
I don't think I'll get back up.
My bones can rest here
in these watery world.
