Waves Poem by Gabriell Davis

Waves

Rating: 5.0

As the waves crash down,
I remember your face.
The way you walked,
The way you talked.

And all of a sudden
Memories come flooding back
And I’m back where I started,
Missing you.

I wonder way I’m here.
Looking for something I’m not ready for.
Looking for something I’ve already found.
I had found it, but it found another.

It’s too late to call.
Too late to pray,
For not even God
Would listen to me this way.

This place used to be my heaven.
It used to be my escape,
But now, I feel
Trapped by waves.
