We Ain'T No Mortal Poem by Maria Jose Cid Velazquez

We Ain'T No Mortal

I ain't no mortal,
I'm a soul dancing.

Step by step, I'm movement.
I'm a body relishing color.

I'm constantly getting cronies
all of them with their own splashes
with their own faults.

We ain't cry, no reason to let it in.
We let out, we spring light,
force to move on.

No need to be mad
we move, we don't stay or stick
to something.

We pull ourselves high
we're art, we're everything
but a reason to give up.

We're never tired, we dream the possible
we're not utopians.

Every soul is different but we are together
and together we'll be.

Preserving friendship is a key
to make a fuss of movement.

Together we represent the essence
of everything that it's worth having.

We ain't mortals.
We're souls dancing
on this unrealistic world.
