We Always Remember Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

We Always Remember

Pizzicato yarns of yellow daffodils
We are ruffled shirts of crinoline skies
Children of the Golden gate
Eyes of honesty
Eyes open to the stale vision
Dance now on the green gardens
Swirl amidst the happy stars
Our time is a taste of freedom
Anoint the flowers to speak
Banners of a better world
The coming sacred age
On fire with serendipity
On fire in the universal temple

Harmony sails like free doves
Dreams permeate
Visions like prophets
Streets fill with the innocent

Now we pray
We are old
We hide
We smile
But we always remember
