We Are Almost There Poem by Guinevere Eveleigh

We Are Almost There

Hold my hand
We are almost there
Don't stop running
We are almost there
Though the sweat burns our faith
And our muscles are wasting away
Though the sun scorch our skin
And the rain drown our ecstasy
If the snow freeze our dreams
And the lightning frightens our determination
And the thunder quiver our morality
We must never stop running
We must never stop hoping
We must never be shattered
Hold my hand
Even though you're weak
Don't stop running
We are almost there
