We Are Free Poem by Rose Marie Cook

We Are Free

Rating: 5.0

Sunshine pours in
Light shining all around
Water droplets fall into
The murky, dark emptiness

Rain shoots from
The sky, onto earth
Heaven slashes lightning down
I'm crying out

Screaming for peace
Asking to yield the pain
Shrills everywhere
Thunder is the voice of God

Tornadoes cut the silence
Winds cautiously blow
Mountains loom down
The earth shakes with fear

Trees bow down
Houses crumble
Lakes fill His need
And then, we are free
