We Do Have A Choice Poem by Francis Duggan

We Do Have A Choice

Rating: 4.5

For the problems i have i have myself to blame
But if you do not like me do not injure my name
For remember i too have to live in this town
And i am not one for to drag others down,
Loose lips sink ships those words ring ever true
And the karma we receive is the karma we are due
I am just a mere mortal of flesh, blood and bone
And i am not without sin so i will not cast the stone,
I dislike what you stand for i cannot dislike you
Since what you say of others is not always true
Your tongue can be caustic that seems sad to say
But you ought to be wiser your hair is growing gray
And in our behaviour we do have a choice
And perhaps before you speak once you should think twice.
