We Flew In The Clouds Poem by Patti Masterman

We Flew In The Clouds

Rating: 5.0

We flew round the clouds, we really flew,
We circled the clouds, like we owned them;
We pawned some hours, left lying around-
Soon as we could unground them.

We looked down on squares from a tiny world,
The distance shrinking while we looked down,
Then flew toward the sun, as we laughed out loud
And saw the flat of the land, turn round.

We flew till the hours had all run down,
Back out the bottom, of the hourglass-
Then we gently touched back down
And set our feet again on soft grass.
