We Found Each Other In The Dark Poem by Daya Nandan

There was a time we were lost in the dark,
When things were bad and we lost our spark,
We distanced ourselves because of anger and hate,
As a storm grew within us that could not abate,

Time passed as we drifted further from love,
Though longing for each other in the eyes of god above,
Then we realized that life is worthless without each other,
And that the happiness we had cannot be replaced by another,

Soon the spark of love returned to each of our beating heart,
And soon the spark quickly grew and a great fire did start,
A luminious flame burning within yet so lovely and warm,
A bright dazzling star inside us in its most enticing form,

So we searched for eachother in the darkness of the earth,
Fully realizing the value such pure and true love is worth,
We found and embraced each other on the journey we did embark,
For our hearts burned so brightly that we found each other in the dark
