We Greet With Love Our Honey Bee Poem by Daniel June

We Greet With Love Our Honey Bee

Two bees are all we know and need
I’ll mind the hive, you fly the breeze

And when in ev’ning honey’s home
Be patient with my endless drone

All day and night I set the hex
A place for us in living text

You queen me as I take your bags
With larval love I never flag

Sting me not, wax not your ears
My queenie’s buzz allays the years

I’ll dance a map to flower's bed
Press kisses, dewdrops on your head.
