We Live And We Die Poem by Shalom Freedman

We Live And We Die

We live and we die
And in the end
Who will remember us?
And what will they remember us for?

It is all a passing shadow
It will all fade

And we are poor players
And will vanish

It does not remain
We do not remain

And no one except perhaps God
Will ever really remember
What we truly were
