We See It, But Dont Believe It Poem by Kelsey Joe

We See It, But Dont Believe It

That perfect girl who you see
In her beautiful clothes
She's miserable.
You won't believe what she lives through
Beatings, Tears, and blood with cuts on her body
Yet she smiles.

That guy has good grades and many friends
Yet he sits there and cries
Right before your eyes.
But you don't see it
You don't see him taking those pills
In hopes that tonight he might die.

That normal girl that's regular size
Won't believe it, she thinks she's fat
So she secretly starves.
If she ever eats, she throws it up
Otherwise she makes up excuses
Just to be a stick figure.

That guy who seems nice
Is a smoker and drinker
He loves his vodka and marajiana.
What home does he have?
What's his family got for him?
Nothing. He's gonna die.

She's got a strong religon
But she doesn't even believe
Noone knows.
She lost all hope
She just lies to impress
But eachtime, she hates him more.

All these and more
We do not see
It's hidden.
We see and believe
So why dont we all
Do a damn thing?
