we shall come back
to every river
and every creek

we shall come back
to every breath
and every moment
of injustice done

we shall come back
to buy their freedom
at our expense

we shall come back
to free this land
from the grasp
of ignorant sins

we shall come back
in darkness and in light
to fight for what is right

Let this be heard
let our voices be carried
to the depths of immortality
to resonate in every patriotic hearts

so tomorrow may come
and we may ask
what it is to be Bengali!
