We Talked Poem by Elizabeth Jacqueline Mpanga

We Talked

Rating: 5.0

I nagged, you mourned
I sulked and you groaned
I clung, you pulled away

We talked, never listened
You wanted to be heard, I wanted to be heard
I go frustrated, you got irritated

I cried, you ignored
You scolded, I screamed
Never taking responsibility we blamed the other

Misunderstanding our affairs foundation
Assumptions, our daily norm
Misery, our child
We talked.
