We walked together

'Come follow me, ' Jesus said
so I followed on as He led.
Step by step and day by day
walking with Him all the way.

Then as the years came and went
and the days of life were spent
Then I drew my life's last breath
walked with Him the Vale of Death

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
